About Participation

This main area of CanChild research explores the participation of children and youth with disabilities and their families, with a focus on community and family activities, and on environments that support or limit participation. Participation in day-to-day activities such as playing with friends, going to school or to work, going to the movies, or going shopping are a vital part of children's development.
