Biography

Dr. Matthew Kwan is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Child and Youth Studies at Brock University and Adjunct Professor in Family Medicine and Associate Director of the INfant and Child Health Lab at McMaster University. His current research interest is in the broader study of population health, and understanding the epidemiology, determinants, and consequences associated with physical activity during the early life stages. Much of his research is aimed at understanding the complex interplay between individual, social, environmental, and contextual factors as it relates to physical activity and other health behaviour change during the transition into emerging adulthood.
