KT & Implementation Science

Two men stand together as one hands a plaque to the other; a CanChild presentation is displayed on the screen behind them with contact details and QR codes.

CanChild has a longstanding commitment to sharing ideas through Knowledge Translation. We apply Implementation Science to do KT well and to study and evaluate what we do!

We are advancing knowledge translation and implementing evidence-based practices in the field of child development and disability.

Aims to evaluation outcome measures, training programs, and technologies. The goal is to bridge the gap between research and practice, to ensure that evidence-based strategies are effectively implemented and disseminated to improve outcomes for children and families affected by disabilities. Studies help identify barriers to implementation, develop effective strategies for knowledge translation, and evaluate the impact of these efforts.

Learn how knowledge translation is defined as the creation, synthesis, and dissemination of research evidence in a user-friendly and accessible way that is relevant and meaningful for youth, families, and health care providers.
