Biography

Aileen Costigan (PhD, OT Reg. (ONT)) is an Assistant Clinical Professor in the School of Rehabilitation Science at McMaster University and Research Associate at Western University. The focus of her doctoral dissertation was improving physical and cognitive access to Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) for young children.

Aileen's recent research experiences and interests extend across disciplines and include development of accessible language comprehension assessment for children with complex communication needs, investigation of the role of rehabilitation in the ICU, and delivery of innovative and inter-professional clinical education.
