Biography

Dr. Bedell is a Professor at Tufts University, Department of Occupational Therapy, Medford, MA, USA.  He is the Director of the Research on Child and Adult Activity Participation (Re-CAAP lab). The ultimate aim of his research and scholarship is to promote meaningful participation of children, youth and transition-age young adults with diverse abilities.  Dr. Bedell is the primary author of the Child and Adolescent Scale of Participation (CASP) and Child and Adolescent Scale of Environment (CASE) and co-author of the Participation and Environment Measure for Children and Youth (PEM-CY) and Young Children’s Participation and Environment Measure (YCPEM). He is also co-developer of Social Participation AND Navigation (SPAN): an app-based coaching intervention initially designed for teenagers with acquired brain injury and being tested with other populations.
