Amanda St. Dennis

Amanda St. Dennis currently lives in Toronto, Ontario Canada. She lives with mild/moderate right-side cerebral palsy, ADHD, anxiety, chronic pain and is Autistic. She currently holds a Developmental Services Diploma and graduated in 2020 from Carleton University with her Bachelor of Arts Honors degree in Child and Youth Studies with a minor in Disability Studies. She is passionate about issues surrounding accessibility, research engagement, knowledge translation and disability and child rights.
Some of her research involvement highlights are: She is a member of CP-Net's Advisory Board and the Youth Steering Committee member of Children's Healthcare Canada's Transition to Adult Healthcare Hub. Additionally, she is a co-instructor, and the Accessibility Champion for McMaster University's Family Engagement in Research (FER) course. Amanda has also been a part of the Youth Engagement in Research (YER) project since the beginning, in 2020. She is currently the Co-Primary Investigator for phase 2 of the Youth Engagement in Research program. Amanda was also one of the co-coordinators as well as the Accessibility Champion and Engagement Mentor for the first cohort of the FER-Youth Cohort in Winter 2025. Additionally, she has begun to branch out and partner in her expertise to studies surrounding cerebral palsy in the adult healthcare side of research through CP-Net.

She enjoys learning and is always open to networking and engaging in new projects both pediatric and adult. Amanda firmly believes that society can be more equitable for all, and that education can lead to conversations and change.
