Dr. Rudaina Banihani

Dr. Rudaina Banihani, MD, MMEd is a Neonatologist and Developmental Pediatrician at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre and an Associate Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Toronto. She is the Medical Director of the Neonatal Follow-Up Clinic and serves on the Steering Committee of the Canadian Neonatal Follow-Up Network (CNFUN).

Her work focuses on neonatal follow-up and neurodevelopmental outcomes of NICU graduates, with particular expertise in early detection of cerebral palsy using the Hammersmith Infant Neurological Examination (HINE) and the General Movements Assessment (GMA). She is also a certified RITA-T instructor and has co-authored the HINE Scoring Aid, leading its Arabic translation with Mac Keith Press.
