COVID Time CapsuleĀ ā Participate in a Research Study!
Researchers at CanChild Centre for Childhood Disability Research are inviting Canadian parents of children between 8-21 who have a disability or extra healthcare needs to participate in a survey. We want to hear about your familyās experiences during COVID and your ideas about what services and supports families like yours need moving forward. We designed this survey based on stories that other youth and parents shared with us. We would like to hear from you! Parents will get a gift card as a thank you for their time.ā

In this study we want to learn about children and parentsā experiences at the time of COVID-19, to understand: What services did children and families miss out on because of COVID? What issues were made worse by Covid? What supports and services do children and parents need and want, now and into the future? What needs to be done in order to improve supports in healthcare and education for children and families after Covid?
Our research team is made up of 8 researchers, 4 parents and 4 youth, who will all work together throughout the study.
With the information we learn from children and families we will develop knowledge translation materials for healthcare providers and educators with strategies for practices and models of care to mitigate the impact of COVID.
