CanChild is grateful to have been a part of the 2025 KidsAbility Innovation & Research Symposium on November 18th, 2025. This dynamic event showcased how research, innovation, and collaboration are transforming pediatric rehabilitation. The inspiring afternoon was filled with cutting-edge ideas, live demonstrations, and opportunities to connect with researchers, clinicians, donors, and community partners who are driving change for children and youth with disabilities.

Among the keynote speakers was Dr. Michelle Phoenix, CanChild Scientist. Dr. Phoenix’s research focuses on improving accessibility and engagement in children’s rehabilitation services, family-centred care and ethics, parents’ mental health, and public engagement in research. Dr. Phoenix works closely with a variety of community partners to integrate student education, clinical practices, and research.
