Biography

Deepa graduated from The Tamilnadu Dr. MGR Medical University with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy degree in 2004. In 2007 she completed Master of Physiotherapy degree from Utkal University, Orissa, India. Currently she is pursuing a PhD in Rehabilitation Science at the Western University under the supervision of Dr. Doreen Bartlett. Her current research focus is on developing a holistic classification system in children with cerebral palsy using body function measures, and investigating the association between classifications derived using body function measures and classifications based on the participation-level. Her research also focuses on child factors using Gross Motor Function Classification System, exploring the association of the derived classification systems and the Gross Motor Function Classification System, and the change in the outcome of the motor function.
