NWT Council of Persons with Disabilities

  • The Council offers several programs including an early childhood intervention program, respite programs, summer programs and an information, referral and support program

Aboriginal Head Start Program

  • This is a preschool program for First Nations, Metis and Inuit children 3-5 years of age. There are eight centres in the NWT which focus on aboriginal culture and language, education and school readiness, parental involvement, health promotion, nutrition, and social support

The Healthy Children Initiative

  • The Supported Child Services Fund is allocated on an individual basis for children who need intensive support
